IMPORTANT: We do NOT share your personal information with AI services. We only share show metadata, quiz parameters, and content generation requests. These services help us create quiz questions and content, but do not have access to your account details, quiz scores, or personal data.
TV Show Metadata Providers:
- TVMaze and TheTVDB
- Purpose: TV show data, episode information, cast and character data
- Data shared: Show search queries, episode requests (no personal user data)

Music and Media Services:
- Spotify: Soundtrack metadata and links to music featured in TV shows

We will never automatically enroll you in marketing emails. You must actively opt in.

Processing Time: Changes to your preferences take effect immediately. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 10 business days as required by CAN-SPAM.
Important Note: Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect transactional emails necessary for your account.
Withdrawal of Consent
For marketing emails, you may withdraw your consent at any time:
- Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to withdrawal
- After withdrawal, we will stop sending marketing emails but will continue sending necessary transactional emails
- We retain your withdrawal preference indefinitely to ensure we don't accidentally re-subscribe you

6. Data Retention

After Account Deletion:
- Most personal information is deleted within 30 days
- Some information may be retained for up to 90 days in backup systems
- We may retain certain information longer if required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes
Specific Retention Periods
Email Communication Preferences:
- Active preferences: Retained while your account is active
- Unsubscribe/opt-out preferences: Retained indefinitely to ensure we don't accidentally re-subscribe you
- After account deletion: Opt-out preferences retained for 10 years
Quiz Data and Scores:
- Retained while your account is active
- Deleted within 30 days of account closure
- Aggregated, anonymized statistical data may be retained indefinitely
Support Communications:
- Retained for 3 years after resolution to help with future inquiries and improve our service

- We may, but are not obligated to, take action on every report submitted
- You cannot control how other users use or share information you've made public

Data Breaches
Despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect. In the unlikely event of a data breach:
